Claudio Castagnoli has been with AEW for the past three years leading to recent online speculation about the possibility that his contract with AEW could be nearing its expiration.
Fightful Select reported that when asked about Castagnoli’s contract situation in regards to the recent online speculation, their sources stated that he still had a “substantial amount of time” left on his current contract with AEW.
Those spoken to reportedly stated that AEW CEO Tony Khan has made it clear that he wants Castagnoli to be part of AEW for a “long time.”
Castagnoli had been working for AEW since his official debut at Forbidden Door 2022 in June of 2022. Castagnoli most recently competed in a $500K 10-Man Tag Team match on the September 10th episode of AEW Dynamite.
