As noted before, WWE Hall of Famer and wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, real name Terry Bollea, passed away this past July at the age of 71 due to a heart attack.
TMZ Sports reported that Nick Hogan filed a lawsuit on Tuesday before a federal court against Bubba The Love Sponge over Bubba’s unreleased “Video Killer The Radio Star: The Untold Story Of The Hulk Hogan Sex Tape Scandal” documentary.
It was reported that the lawsuit alleges that the documentary infringes on the copyrights and trademarks of Hogan.
Hogan’s son Nick reportedly filed the lawsuit on behalf of the Hogan estate and claims that the documentary includes unauthorized images from the sex tape between Hulk and Bubba’s ex-wife Heather Clem. The lawsuit also claims that some of the video was actually played in a trailer for the documentary.
In the filing, Nick is claiming that Bubba has been promoting the documentary using Hulk’s trademarks without permission and releasing the documentary would violate a settlement agreement that Bubba and Hulk entered in 2012 over the tape. This agreement revolved around a lawsuit Hulk had filed against Bubba and Heather for invasion of privacy that was settled and Bubba issued an apology.
Nick is currently asking for unspecified damages from Bubba and to stop the release of the documentary.
