Allie Reflects on Her Training for In-Ring Return
As noted before, former TNA and AEW wrestler Allie, also known as The Bunny in AEW, recently resumed training for an in-ring return in the future after being away from wrestling for the past two years.
Allie provided an update on Tuesday on Instagram about her current training for a future in-ring return and her thoughts about her feelings about her recent return to a wrestling ring.
“I haven’t had an actual wrestling match in, shit, I think it might be two years. So many things have changed in my life, and something in me just felt like I wanted to get back in the ring and see how it feels. Not only did I not have a match, but like, I hadn’t trained, I hadn’t bumped, I hadn’t been in wrestling at all for quite a long time, maybe the last couple months, I started feeling like I really missed it in a way that I honestly didn’t expect.
This year has been really hard. Sometimes, when you’re in a dark place, it’s hard to step outside of yourself and see that there are still good things in the world and there are good things for you to experience as well. I didn’t realize how much wrestling brought me joy until I hit rock bottom, and wrestling was like a little bit of a light in the storm. I told you guys before that I did like a little TNA one-off. It was my first time in a really, really, really long time that I had been in wrestling in some capacity. So I do this thing. It was like in real time, it was pulling me out of the dark hole I had been sitting in. I didn’t want to rush back into the ring until I knew for sure that this wasn’t just like a fleeting feeling, like this was something that I actually really wanted, because being a wrestler takes a lot of fucking commitment, like I really had to consider it.”
Allie also gave her thoughts about while her first training back in a ring was physically painful, she felt so good because she found her happiness again from wrestling.
“It hurts so bad at first bump, you guys, I started hitting the ropes. Oh my god. It was really painful, but honestly, it felt so good. Anyone that is going through a really rough patch when it feels like joy is not in reach, and you’re just in that dark place where it just feels like it’s never-ending. Sometimes, rock bottom is the best place to pick yourself up and start your life in the direction that you want it to go. If you are in the same kind of spot that I’m at, where days are just sometimes really hard, and you just are struggling to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I promise you, it is there. It is there. There are things in life that will bring you joy again. You will find it, and you will find your happiness again. I promise I love you guys. Yay, wrestling.”

Rob Van Dam Double Heel Fracture Injury Update
As noted before, ECW legend and WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam has been out of action from wrestling since this past April due to a double heel fracture injury.
A recent episode of TMZ’s Inside The Ring podcast featured RVD as the guest. One of the topics discussed included RVD providing an update on the recovery of his double heel fracture injury.
“I feel like I’m between the middle and the end of it. It’s been a lot longer than I thought it would take to heal. From what I’ve learned, every calcaneus fracture is different depending on how the bones are fragmented, if they are, and if you have surgery. This was April 5 for me, so it’s been quite a while. I thought I was looking at like eight, nine weeks, and I’d be back. I’m at a point now where I can see improvement all the time, but I’m nowhere near ready to wrestle. I’m not jumping or even running yet. So, yeah, I find when I’m medicated, I feel way and walk way better than when I’m not, and sometimes that confuses my perspective of how I’m healing, too.”

Meltzer reported that the CSAC was all but ready to rubber stamp its approval for TKO Group’s push for changes to the act which would create minimums for fighting but also give boxing promoters far more power than they’ve ever had in history of the sport. Meltzer reported that it was those within MMA who pushed for the changes to be delayed and the commission stated that they would study the bill more before making an actual decision.
In a recent episode of the Six Feet Under with The Undertaker podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle provided an update on his current health status. Angle stated “I feel pretty good. The only thing that bothers me now is that I have motor skill problems. My hands shake because of my neck, and there’s nothing I can do about it. My neck naturally fused together. I think I already told you that. I don’t have any more discs between my vertebrae. It’s just all fused together. It’s all bone. I went to have a disc replacement surgery, and the doctor took an MRI. He said, ‘You don’t have any discs. You’re done.’ He said, ‘It’s all fused together. It’s all bone.’ So, I have a hard time. I get pain going down my arms, and I can’t feel either one of my pinkies. They’re gone. So I just have a lot of functional problems. You know, it just sucks that there’s nothing I can do. I tried stem cell, I tried disc replacement. There’s just nothing I have to deal with it.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
