Booker T Fills In on Commentary for Friday’s SmackDown Show

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show at the Kia Center in Orlando, Florida featured NXT commentator Booker T filling in for Corey Graves as Michael Cole’s commentary partner for tonight’s show.

Graves has been out of action for WWE’s commentary team following his storyline injury attack at the hands of Brock Lesnar on the September 19th SmackDown show.

Street Profits Earns WWE Tag Titles Shot on Friday’s WWE SmackDown Show

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show also featured The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) defeating Melo Don’t Miz (Carmelo Hayes & The Miz) in a #1 Contender match for the WWE Tag Team Championship.

As a result of their victory, Street Profits will be facing off against the Wyatt Sicks (Dexter Lumis & Joe Gacy) for the titles at a future show.

ZaRuca Makes Surprise Appearance

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show also featured NXT’s ZaRuca (Zaria & Sol Ruca) making a surprise appearance.

During the show, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair were seen backstage watching a monitor. This lead to ZaRuca showing up and getting into a confrontation saying that they want a shot at the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. Flair responded back stating that there’s a line for them to stand in the back and Bliss responding statign that they need to be more of a tag team. ZaRuca responded back stating they promise they will be in the front of the line before they know it.

Je’Von Evans Revealed as Mystery Challenger for U.S. Title Open Challenge

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show also featured NXT’s Je’Von Evans being revealed as the mystery opponent for Sami Zayn’s Open Challenge match for the WWE United States Championship.

Following Zayn’s victory to retain the WWE United States title, NXT’s Josh Briggs showed up and attacked Evans ahead of their match at this Saturday’s NXT No Mercy 2025 event.

Stephanie Vaquer vs. Tiffany Stratton Set for WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Title at Crown Jewel Perth

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show also featured one newly updated match for the card of Crown Jewel: Perth, which takes place on October 11th at the RAC Arena in Perth, Western Australia, Australia.

This newly updated match was a WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Championship match of Stephanie Vaquer (WWE Women’s World) vs. Tiffany Stratton (WWE Women’s).

This newly updated match was setup following Stratton defeating Nia Jax and Jade Cargill in a Triple Threat match to retain her WWE Women’s Championship.
