As noted before, the September 26th WWE SmackDown show featured Jade Cargill suffering a head injury during the Triple Threat match between her, Nia Jax, and Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Championship. Cargill suffered the injury following a spot where Jax sent Cargill face-first into the ring’s steel steps resulting in Cargill’s head getting busted open.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that Cargill only required stitches to close the cut above her eye and did not need any plastic surgery done for it.
Johnson reported that WWE officials are currently hopeful that Cargill will be medically cleared for an in-ring return within in a few weeks.
Johnson also reported that there have been no signs that Cargill has been pulled from WWE’s road schedule.
