As noted before, Santos Escobar’s contract with WWE expired as of midnight on Tuesday due to him and WWE not coming to terms for a potential new deal.
Fightful Select reported that “creative dissatisfaction” and not monetary issues was the main reason why Escobar had turned down WWE’s offer for a potential new deal to stay in the company. It was also reported that Escobar could appear at this year’s New York Comic Con event this weekend.
WWE recently moved Escobar’s profile to the Alumni section on their official website.
Following his contract’s expiration, Escobar reflected on Twitter with a video post with the caption of “PALANTE!!!”
