As noted before, Seth Rollins suffered a shoulder injury at this past Saturday’s Crown Jewel Perth show. Rollins’ injury situation is believed to have been the reason for the The Vision turning on Rollins and attacking him at Monday’s WWE RAW show in Perth, Western Australia, Australia. Rollins injury is believed to be rotator cuff related and was likely expected to need to undergo surgery.
Dave Meltzer reported in a special edition of this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources confirmed that Rollins injury is legitimate and he is currently expected to undergo surgery as soon as possible.
Meltzer reported that those spoken to confirmed that Rollins had suffered the injury from his coast-to-coast diving headbutt spot to Cody Rhodes during their WWE Men’s Crown Jewel Championship match at Crown Jewel Perth.
Meltzer also reported that the exact severity of Rollins’ injury nor the amount of time he will be out of action is currently not known. Meltzer reported that with surgery, Rollins would be out of action for several months as a minimum.
Meltzer also reported that Rollins’ injury was the reason why WWE officials did the angle at Monday’s RAW show in order to make “Big” Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker into the top two heels for the RAW brand immediately.
Meltzer also reported that WWE officials have to make a decision show on how to handle the World Heavyweight title situation due to Rollins vs. CM Punk was planned to headline their Saturday Night’s Main Event show on November 11th in Salt Lake City, Utah. The #1 Contender’s Triple Threat match on Monday’s show was always planned to set up that match.
Meltzer speculated that the angle of The Vision turning on Rollins was eventually going to happen but not well into 2026. Those spoken to within WWE’s creative stated that while the WrestleMania card is not booked, everyone was working with the idea of Rollins vs. Roman Reigns as one of the biggest matches on the show.
Prior to his injury, Rollins reportedly was originally planned to captain the heel team for the Men’s WarGames match at WWE’s Survivor Series WarGames 2025 event next month in San Diego.
