Sir Mo, real name Bobby Horne, passed away on Sunday at the age of 58.
Horne’s passing was first announced by Book Pro Wrestlers on Facebook. Prior to his passing, Horne had been hospitalized in the ICU earlier this month due to a severe blood infection and pneumonia.
Horne’s professional wrestling career spanned from 1991 to 2020 and was most known for his time in WWE first under the ring name of Mo and later as Sir Mo. Horne was one half of notable tag team Men on a Mission with Mable and manager Oscar from 1993 to 1996. Mo and Mable would eventually turn heel on Oscar in 1995 and Mo later became the manager of Mable during his run to become King of the Ring that same year. Mo would take on the new ring name of Sir Mo following Mable being known as King Mable afterwards. Mo and Mable would remain together until both of their departures from WWE in January of 1996.
Besides WWE, Horne also had notable stints in United States Wrestling Association.
Horne’s notable career achievements and accolades included being a one-time WWE World Tag Team Champion, a four-time Pro Wrestling Federation Tag Team Champion, and inductions into the New England Pro Wrestling (2013) and Memphis Wrestling (2024) Hall of Fames.
