Asuka Responds to Goldberg’s “Some Girl” Comments About Her Breaking His Undefeated Streak
As noted before, WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg stated in a recent interview with the Real Talk with Mike Burke podcast that he believes WWE had “some girl” break his undefeated streak record in wrestling out of pettiness and them still resenting WCW from the Monday Night Wars era. This “some girl” Goldberg was referring to was Asuka who broke the record during her time as NXT Women’s Champion in WWE’s NXT brand.
Asuka responded earlier today on Twitter about Goldberg’s disparaging comments about her.
“Goldberg’s comments about me are all over the news right now. But honestly, I’m not bothered by it at all. What he said came from his own perspective, and that’s fine. So there’s really no need to make such a big deal out of it. Listen to my philosophy. It’s not about what I accomplish. It’s about what I try to create. Philosophy and vision, that’s where the real value is. I don’t find meaning in anything without beauty. I’ve achieved every record, every title, but those are just milestones. What really matters is opening a new era. Creating the moment that separates Before Asuka and After Asuka. Having the power to change an era. That’s where true value and beauty exist. I don’t chase records or championships. They’re the ones that come to me. There’s not enough art in this world.“

Backstage Reaction Over Online Backlash for Jey Uso’s Battle Royal Victory Video from Oct. 22nd WWE RAW Show
As noted before, this past Monday’s WWE RAW show featured Jey Uso winning a #1 Contender Battle Royal match for the Vacant WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Uso’s victory meant that he would be facing off against CM Punk for the vacant title at WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event show on November 1st in Salt Lake City, Utah.
WWE’s video of Uso’s battle royal victory on YouTube received a heavy amount of dislikes at 64,000 dislikes compared to just 13,000 likes as of this past Wednesday.
Fightful Select reported that dislikes for certain videos on YouTube are not something that WWE generally takes seriously when it comes to their booking decisions. It was reported that their sources within WWE have previously questioned the validity of dislikes numbers on YouTube due to the fact that it requires third-party extensions to see. This is due to YouTube does not make dislikes for videos public since 2021.
It was reported that dislikes are not an exact count and instead extensions estimate the number based on their own user base leading to concerns about the accuracy of those numbers. It was also reported that regardless of if the numbers are accurate or not, those spoken to stated that the dislike count on WWE videos does not affect the company’s booking plans going forward.
