WWE: Jey Uso on Potential Heel Turn & Him Going Back to His “Old Bloodline Ways”, Backstage Update on Andrade El Idolo’s Non-Compete & If WWE Has Any Actual Plans For Him, Dragon Lee Reportedly Getting Rave Praise Backstage

Jey Uso Comments on Potential Heel Turn & Him Going Back to His “Old Bloodline Ways”

A recent episode of the WWE RAW Recap podcast featured Jey Uso as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Uso’s thoughts about the speculation of him turning heel and going back to his “old Bloodline ways” over him acting more aggressive and displaying heel tendencies in recent months.

“Nothing really changed on me Uce. I still have fun, I still throw a party every Monday. I still like the kids, I still yeet with them. But when the bell rings I’ve got to switch modes now, if I’m trying to get to the top, I’ve got big hitters in front of me. Guys like CM Punk, guys like GUNTHER, guys like Seth Rollins.

I got a heavy list in front of me and I just can’t play no more I’m tired of people saying I’m just an entrance, I ain’t got the skills to hold it down up top. I just switch modes, I might be going back to the old ways, Bloodline ways but that kind of mentality got the job done.”

Backstage Update on Andrade El Idolo’s Non-Compete & If WWE Has Any Actual Plans For Him

As noted before, former WWE talent Andrade El Idolo has been absent from AEW since earlier this month due to issues over him being currently under a non-compete clause with WWE after his firing from the company this past September. This non-compete clause is currently believed to be for one year in length over WWE’s claims that he breached his contract from his firing. Andrade had also been pulled from several of his recent indies bookings due to similar issues.

Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported in a recent Q&A article that his sources in the Mexican wrestling world stated that they believe that WWE is utilizing the non-compete clause against Andrade in an effort to keep him and bring him back to the company following his AEW return appearance.

Sapp reported that if this belief was actually true, then that would just be a petty thing on WWE’s end since they had no intent to use him again when he was with the company and had fired him.

Sapp also reported that those spoken to within WWE stated that they don’t have any plans to use Andrade.

Dragon Lee Reportedly Getting Rave Praise Backstage

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that Dragon Lee received rave reviews and praise within WWE for his performance against Dominik Mysterio for the AAA Mega Championship at AAA’s Heroes Inmortales event this past weekend in Mexico City, Mexico.

Johnson reported that several people within WWE’s management have made it clear they want to get Lee locked into a new contract well before his current deal expires.

Lee had signed a three-year contract with WWE in December of 2022 but the current belief is that time has been added due to injury time which would push the expiration date into 2026.
