Nathan Frazer Answers WWE US Title Open Challenge & Tommaso Ciampa Beats Up Frazer After

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah featured Nathan Frazer being revealed as the mystery challenger for this week’s Open Challenge match for Ilja Dragunov’s WWE United States Championship.

During the show, Dragunov came out to the ring and waited for his opponent for this week’s challenger for his title. This led to Fraxiom’s music playing and Frazer coming out with Axiom alongside him. Before anything else could happen, Ciampa’s music played and he stormed his way into the ring with a microphone in his hand. Ciampa demanded to be given the title shot only for Frazer to interrupt him saying it was his shot. Dragunov responded stating that the open challenge is made for every competitor but Frazer was first and Ciampa has to wait. This led to Ciampa leaving and Frazer getting his title shot.

Following Dragunov defeating Frazer to retain his title, Dragunov and Frazer shook hands and Frazer left the ring to give Dragunov his earned spotlight moment. As Frazer was walking away, Ciampa ran out and attacked Frazer laying him out. This led to Axiom getting involved trying to save Frazer and Johnny Gargano running out to help out Ciampa. This then led to Dragunov getting involved to help out Fraxiom and the two groups brawled their way to the back.
