Mark Briscoe Comments on His TNT Title Win Being For His Road Family & His Home Family
As noted before, this past Saturday’s AEW Full Gear 2025 event in Newark, New Jersey featured Mark Briscoe defeating Kyle Fletcher in a No Disqualification match to become the new AEW TNT Champion.
AEW recently released a digital exclusive backstage interview featuring Briscoe discussing his AEW TNT title victory and dedicating it to his road and home families and Sussex County.
“Man, there are no words, man. Times in life where you don’t mean there just are no words. I lost the most important thing to me. Talk about family, man. I lost my brother. I lost the other half of myself, man, and it’s been a long road since then. I didn’t know if I wanted to carry on. I didn’t know if I wanted to do this anymore without him and I knew I had to make him proud. I had to do it for us, and it was failure after failure, after defeat, after defeat, after loss, after loss, after disappointment, after disappointment, man. But you know they say, there’s a time and a season for everything and when family’s on the line, My crew, my boys, my family, The Conglomeration. Man, that changes everything, man. I got my road family, and I got my home family and this is for both of them. This is for both of them. For my nephew, my nieces, my mom, my dad, my wife, my kids, my sister, my in-laws. This is for Delaware, baby. This is for Sussex County. This is for The Conglomeration. This is for you, dog. We did it, baby.”

It was a nice little run that I had there. Very grateful for the time that I had there. They do their thing the way they want to do their thing.”

As noted before, this past Saturday’s AEW Full Gear 2025 event featured Samoa Joe defeating Hangman Adam Page in a Steel Cage to become the new AEW World Champion with help from HOOK. ECW legend and former WWE wrestler Dawn Marie recently revealed on Twitter that she was in attendance at this past Saturday’s AEW Full Gear 2025 event in Newark, New Jersey. This past Saturday’s AEW Full Gear 2025 post-show media scrum featured AEW CEO Tony Khan giving his thoughts about if he’s ever hit a stage where he has less motivation or burnout in his role as head of the promotion. Khan stated “No. I haven’t taken a break from wrestling in a long, long time. I love it and I’m very much in the zone. I love coming to work every week. I’ve never missed a show and I absolutely love it. Every day I come into work I’m so grateful to be in the chair. And I think all the time about how fortunate I am. I’m also really glad that you all, for the most part, a lot of the wrestling fans, seem to like the work I’m doing and want me to be in the chair. Because I’m also cognizant that it’s not always that way for people. A year ago I felt like I was working really hard, and I was trying my best, and I feel like after a year later being in the same building in the same place, it feels like we’re in a better place than we were a year ago in many, many ways.” Khan also gave his thoughts about the passion he has for pro wrestling. Khan stated “Being entrenched in it now for seven years, every single day without a week away from it, I’m obsessed with it. I love it so much. I never think about being away from it. I eat and breathe and sleep it, so it’s really a pleasure to be here and I never take it for granted how special it is to be able to do this.” (Transcript h/t: F4WOnline.com)
