Paul Wight Makes Commentary Return

Saturday’s AEW Full Gear 2025 event at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey featured Paul Wight making a surprise return to AEW commentary.

Following the $200K Tag Team Four-way match, Wight came out to the ring for guest commentary for the remainder of the AEW Saturday Tailgate Brawl pre-show.

Timeless Love Bombs Wins 4-Way Tag Match & Get To Pick Stip for AEW Women’s Tag Titles Tournament Match

Saturday’s AEW Full Gear 2025 event also featured Timeless Love Bombs (“Timeless” Toni Storm & Mina Shirakawa) defeating Sisters of Sin (Skye Blue & Julia Hart), Megan Bayne & Marina Shafir, and Babes of Wrath (Willow Nightingale & Harley Cameron) in a Four-way Tag Team match.

This match featured the stipulation of the winning team gets to pick the stipulation for their AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament Semifinal Round match.

FTR Wins AEW Tag Titles

Saturday’s AEW Full Gear 2025 event also featured FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) defeating Brodido (Brody King & Bandido) to become the new AEW World Tag Team Champions.

This was FTR’s third AEW World Tag Team titles victory in their AEW career and ties The Young Bucks for most title reigns in AEW history.

Ricochet Wins AEW National Title

Saturday’s AEW Full Gear 2025 event also featured Ricochet winning the Casino Gauntlet match to become the inaugural AEW National Champion.

The entrants in order were Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, Ricochet, Claudio Castagnoli, Daniel Garcia, Orange Cassidy, Wheeler Yuta, Kevin Knight, Roderick Strong, Mark Davis, “Speedball” Mike Bailey, and “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard.

Mark Briscoe Wins TNT Title

Saturday’s AEW Full Gear 2025 event also featured Mark Briscoe defeating Kyle Fletcher to become the new AEW TNT Champion.

This was Briscoe’s first ever TNT title victory and first ever championship victory in his AEW career.
