Backstage Upate on Trick Williams Bloody Head Injury Incident at 11/11 WWE NXT Show

Tuesday’s WWE NXT show at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida featured Ricky Saints defeating Trick Williams in a Last Man Standing match to retain the NXT Championship. This match was notable for Williams suffering a busted open head injury following a spot involving Williams running at Saints who moved out of the way and Williams crashed through the barricade cutting his head in the process.

While the barricade itself was gimmicked to break, the Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez reported that Williams had accidentally hit his head on a metal beam that was supporting it. Alvarez reported that the match referee went up to Williams and asked him if he was okay and Williams responded that he was but the referee asked him again to make sure he was okay.

Despite the head injury, Williams was able to continue with the match.
