As noted before, Ridge Holland, real name Luke Menzies, will be leaving WWE once his contract expires on November 14th due to it not being renewed. Holland has been out of action since this past September due to a lisfranc injury he suffered at a TNA Impact! taping. Holland recently made several comments on Twitter about his grievances over feeling that he was left “hung out to dry” by WWE letting his contract expire while he is injured and being very concerned he might not be able to support his family nor be able to make mortgage payments due to his worries about his financial situation.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that WWE had terminated Holland’s contract early after his recent tweets talking about the company’s decision to not renew his contract and the negative effect it will have on him and his family.
Those spoken to reportedly stated that WWE officials felt that Holland had “breached” his contract when he went public talking about his issues over his expiring contract situation.
It was reported that it was “strongly suggested” that Holland won’t be paid for the remaining nine days on his contract.
Despite his contract’s termination, it was also reported that WWE has to continue providing rehab for Holland or else risk dealing with potential legal action against the company.
