PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources within TNA and WWE both denied an online rumor that was going around following the announcement of TNA’s new deal that the working partnership between both companies would be ending. Those spoken to reportedly were adamant that their existing partnership will continue on.

Johnson reported that those spoken to within WWE stated that they were made aware of TNA’s deal with AMC well in advance of today’s announcement. Those spoken to reportedly also pointed out that NXT was referenced in today’s press release from AMC and TNA as an indication of the working partnership continuing.

Those spoken to reportedly stated that WWE had actually aided the company in landing their new deal with AMC. Those spoken to within WWE reportedly also confirmed that they were aware the deal was coming ahead of the official announcement.

In regards to the backstage reaction over TNA’s continued working relationship with WWE, Sapp reported that several talents spoken to stated that they hoped that “catering to NXT” would not continue for TNA’s creative direction for their partnership going forward.

In regards to TNA’s current plans for the broadcast of Impact! shows on AMC, Sapp reported that TNA will continue airing a mix of live and taped broadcasts. In regards to the reason why TNA took a month off from their events schedule following this past October’s Bound For Glory event, Sapp reported that those spoken to stated that this was likely due to budget reasons and needing the time to finalize their new television deal. Work for this new agreement reportedly began this past Spring and was kept within a very close circle of people.

In regards to the general reaction within TNA over the new television deal announcement, Sapp reported that the general reaction from both staff and talent was unanimously positive. Those within TNA’s roster reportedly are currently hopeful that the company’s creative direction will see a significant step up now that the platform has expanded for shows.

In an interview with the Busted Open Radio podcast earlier today, TNA President Carlos Silva confirmed that the working partnership between TNA and WWE will continue on.

“Absolutely. It’s a big part of helping us get this deal. It’s a big part of now being able to give back a little and provide a big platform for some of those superstars as well. The storylines and things we’re doing together, they are going to continue to grow into 2026.”
