WWE reportedly is preparing to call-up NXT talent for their SmackDown brand ahead of the show transitioning back to a three-hour format this January, according to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select.
It was reported that their sources stated that WWE officials have held recent internal discussions regarding Joe Hendry getting a main roster call-up soon for their SmackDown brand.
USA Network reportedly has been “keen” on getting Hendry for the SmackDown brand.
It was previously reported that Hendry is currently on a main roster-level type deal when he had signed with the company this past November.
Besides his work on WWE’s NXT brand, Hendry also made recent main roster appearances on the December 13th episode of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event and the December 19th tapings of SmackDown for the December 26th show.
