Ash By Elegance Comments on Advice She Received from Big Show (Paul Wight) for Her Wrestling Career

SquareFamilyWrestling held a recent interview with TNA talent Ash By Elegance. One of the topics discussed included Ash’s thoughts about the valuable advice she received from Big Show, real name Paul Wight, to help out her wrestling career.

“My advice was actually probably from Big Show and he had mentioned it’s not always about a title. It’s about the longevity of your career. If you can fit the shoes of many different characters, you’ll be very successful because wrestling is all about, a babyface, a heel, and if you can do it well, you’re going to have a job for a very long time. So it’s not always about a championship or a title, which, I mean, that’s always amazing to have. It’s about the longevity of your career and how many different shoes you can fill.”

Eddie Kingston Comments on His Mindset For Final Year On The Indies

As noted before, AEW talent Eddie Kingston announced this past November that 2026 will be his final year working in the indies.

A recent episode of the What Happened When with Tony Schiavone podcast featured Kingston as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Kingston’s thoughts about his mindset for his final year on the indies for his wrestling career.

“I’m doing it because I didn’t really get to do a not swansong, I just want to give one more nice little run and help out whoever these promotions want me to help out. That’s it. Without the independents, I wouldn’t have been fed for years and I wouldn’t have been able to survive to get to where I’m at now.”

Kingston also gave his thoughts about how Low Ki managed to do “some Mr. Miyagi shit’ to keep him motivated for his wrestling career during the COVID-19 pandemic after he had started doubting his future in wrestling.

“When I said I started maturing more during the pandemic, it’s because [Low Ki] was talking to me more during the pandemic. He did some, as Ortiz calls it, ‘some Mr. Miyagi shit’ to me. He knew I was kind of down and out about maybe, possibly having to call it (a career) because of COVID and having to go back home and feeling like a loser. He just Mr. Miyagi’d me and was like, ‘Yeah, you should probably get ready to do that. You kind of failed.’ I was like, ‘What the fuck?’ He was like, ‘You just weren’t focused. Maybe if you got fuckig focused.’ He helped me out that way. I started getting focused. Things started falling into place. It was very weird how that kind of happened. I definitely give, not only for his wrestling stuff, but for his friendship and advice, which definitely helped me. Homicide, same thing. I don’t think I’ve told anyone that. It was a weird thing. I started to get more focused. He was on my ass about it. Next thing you know, I cut that promo at ICW, next thing you know, I’m getting the chance to beat up Cody, next thing you know I’m getting a contract.”
