As noted before, Danhausen’s contract with AEW is currently set to expire in February of 2026.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that WWE is currently divided over potentially signing Danhausen once his contract with AEW expires.
It was reported that Danhausen currently has both supporters who want him to join their company and detractors who are not keen on him and his talents and would not want him to be signed to the company.
It was speculated that WWE likely will make an offer to Danhausen once he becomes a free agent.
Dave Meltzer reported in an issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter this past August that one person within WWE who is said to be a supporter of Danhausen is TKO board member Dwayne “The Rock” Johnsnon.
Danhausen posted a cryptic tweet earlier this month implying his status with AEW and ROH has been on ice for the reason for his lengthy abscense since ROH Final Battle 2024 in December of 2024.
