Tommaso Ciampa Makes Surprise AEW Debut & Answers TNT Title Challenge
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured former WWE talent Tommaso Ciampa making his surprise official debut in AEW.
Following Mark Briscoe’s victory over El Clon to retain his TNT Championship, Briscoe grabbed the microphone and talked about his open challenge for his TNT title and how much he likes the idea for his title defenses going forward. Briscoe continued stating that it will have a small asterisk since nobody from the Don Callis Family can accept it because he is tired of dealing with them.
This led to the lights going out and a heartbeat visual that slowly stopped beating showing on the big screen. This then led to the words “Psycho Killer” being shown. Ciampa then came out to a roaring reaction from the crowd and made his way to the ring to answer Briscoe’s challenge, which Briscoe accepted. It was announced that this match was made official for this week’s Collision show.
