Last week’s TNA Impact! show in Garland, Texas was notable for being the Impact! premiere show on AMC. This show was also notable for WWE and TNA Hall of Famer Bully Ray making a guest commentary appearance for the TNA World Championship match between Mike Santana and Frankie Kazarian.
Besides his guest commentary work, Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Ray also worked as a backstage producer at last week’s Impact! AMC premiere show. Ray reportedly helped produce the backstage segments involving AJ Styles, Kazarain, and Santana on the show.
Those spoken to reportedly confirmed that Ray also gave a speech backstage prior to the show to motivate talent, which was stated to have been received well.
Ray reportedly also made other “quiet additions” backstage during his work for TNA last week.
In regards to potential future plans for Ray, it was reported that TNA officials have discussed potentially continuing the working relationship with Ray. This reportedly currently does not include any plans for Ray to get back in the ring for the company.
