Callum Newman Signed New Multi-Year Contract with NJPW

Sunday’s Blue Justice XVII event for New Japan Pro Wrestling in Sakura, Japan featured United Empire (Callum Newman, Francesco Akira, Great-O-Khan, Jake Lee, & Jakob Austin Young) defeating Unbound Company (Gedo, Hiromu Takahashi, Shingo Takagi, Taiji Ishimori, & Yota Tsuji) in a 10-Man tag team match.

Following the match, Callum showed up for a post-match backstage press conference and issued a challenge to David Finlay for a match between the two in the future. Callum also revealed that he had recently signed a new multi-year contract with NJPW to remain in the company for the foreseeable future.

“Everything’s based on jealousy in this f**king company. I’m the only foreigner, as far as I’m aware, in this company who has a multi-year deal to one of the biggest f**king companies in the world, and I’m only 23. Do you know what that means? I’m one of the best in the f**king world. I’m better than Jay (White), I’m better than Kenny (Omega), I’m better than (Will) Ospreay.”

In a follow-up, Callum confirmed on Twitter that his new contract extension with NJPW is “signed and sealed.”

Newman has been working for NJPW since September of 2023.
