As noted before, Elayna Black, former Cora Jade in WWE, made her surprise return to TNA Wrestling at the TNA Impact! AMC premiere show earlier this month. TNA recently confirmed that Black has been signed to an official contract with the company.
A recent episode of the Busted Open Radio podcast featured Black as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Black’s thoughts about how she grew up watching TNA and WWE and how she had fun when she came to TNA for a few months while in NXT as part of the working partnership between both companies.
“I love TNA. I grew up watching both TNA and WWE. My first ever wrestling event was actually a random TNA house show.
Last year when I was with NXT, I came to TNA for a few months and I had so much fun. I loved everybody there, I loved the environment, I loved the company, I love the product that they put out.”
Black also gave her thoughts about why she was initially hesitant on signing with TNA due to their working partnership with WWE.
“More so in the beginning, I was hesitant about coming to TNA just because of how close the relationship was. I kind of felt like I needed to distance myself, which I think it was good me taking that time off. I feel very more removed than I did at the time.”
Black also gave her thoughts about her current plans for her career in TNA.
“I’m here for the long run. I don’t plan on going anywhere anytime soon. I want to keep progressing my career in TNA.”
Black also gave her thoughts about the current goals for her career in TNA.
“Have fun and be the best version of Elayna Black I can be.”
