As noted before, Drilla Moloney, David Finlay, and Clark Connors‘ contracts with New Japan Pro Wrestling are currently set to expire soon and are expected to explore their options for the future of their wrestling careers. Besides those three, EVIL is also currently expected to explore his options outside of NJPW for his career future and SANADA is currently on an “indefinite leave” from the company.
Dave Meltzer reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio that his sources stated that Gabe Kidd is currently generating a lot of interest in the United States for a potential future destination for his wrestling career.
Meltzer reported that WWE officials currently are very interested in signing Kidd to a potential contract once he becomes available. Meltzer reported that AEW likely is also very interested and would want Kidd in their company and NJPW also very likely would want to retain Kidd in their company.
In regards to Kidd’s current contract status, Meltzer reported that the current belief is that Kidd’s contract with NJPW expires at the end of this month but this is something he has yet to confirm from his sources. Meltzer reported that most NJPW contracts are also currently set to expire by that time.
Meltzer speculated that Kidd could end up staying in NJPW because he really loves working for the company and NJPW made him into a star.
Kidd has been with NJPW since January of 2020.
