Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in Cedar Park, Texas featured FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) defeating Davis & Doyle (Mark Davis & Jake Doyle) to retain the AEW World Tag Team Championship.
This match was notable for Doyle suffering an apparent biceps injury and was not involved in the finish to the match. Doyle is believed to have suffered the injury following a DDT spot on the apron by Wheeler involving Wheeler dropping off the apron while Doyle’s arm held onto the ropes causing his arm to get extended during the landing. Doyle was seen clutching his arm and could be heard telling Wheeler that he just tore his biceps.
Jake Something appears to have suffered a legit injury during this spot tonight.

Following the match, the Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez reported that his sources within AEW confirmed that Doyle had suffered a torn biceps injury.
Davis is currently expected to be out of action for around three to six months based on the usual recovery for a torn biceps injury in wrestling.
