As noted before, Oba Femi officially vacated his NXT Championship following his successful title defense against Leon Slater at this past Tuesday’s WWE NXT show at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Femi will be getting called up to WWE’s RAW brand following his debut vignettes appearing on both RAW and SmackDown shows in recent weeks.
It was reported that those spoken to stated that WWE officials have plans for Femi to be positioned near the top of the card on the RAW roster. It was also reported that there have been pushes within creative for him to be prominently featured for the card of this April’s WrestleMania 42 event in Las Vegas.
Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that his sources stated that the reason why Femi didn’t lose his NXT title on the way out was due to WWE officials wanted to keep him strong for his official call-up.
