Backstage Update on Reason Why TNA X-Division Title Match No Longer Advertised for 1/15 TNA Impact! Show

As noted before, WWE is currently interested in bringing in TNA X-Division Champion for the United Kingdom shows in their on-going European tour. This led to online speculation of this being the potential reason why TNA is currently no longer advertising the TNA X-Division Championship match between Myron Reed and Slater for their TNA Impact! premiere show on AMC on January 15th.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that the reason why TNA is no longer advertising the TNA X-Division Championship match for their AMC premiere show is due to Reed and the rest of The Rascalz’s Zachary Wentz, Trey Migues, and Dezmond Xavier are all currently free agents.

Johnson reported that all of The Rascalz’s contracts with TNA had expired at the end of 2025 and the current belief is that all four of them are free agents.

Johnson also reported that TNA officials did not pick up the options for Wentz and Miguel’s contracts.
