CMLL World Welterweight Title and CMLL World Middleweight Title Matches Announced for Jan. 18th CMLL International Weekend Event
CMLL recently announced two new matches for the card of their International Weekend event, which takes place on January 18 at the Arena Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico.
The first new match announced was a CMLL World Welterweight Championship match of Komander vs. Titan (c).

Bozilla Pulled From Upcoming Stardom Events Due To Injury
As noted before, Bozilla suffered a potential knee injury at Stardom’s New Year Stars 2026 this past Sunday in Tokyo, Japan.
Stardom recently provided an update confirming that Bozilla had suffered an injury and they have pulled her from their upcoming events on January 17-19 in Japan.
“Due to an injury sustained at the Korakuen Hall tournament on Sunday, January 11, Bozilla will be absent from the next events: the Osaka events on Saturday, January 17 and Sunday, January 18, and the Takamatsu event on Monday, January 19. We will inform you further as soon as the situation is known.”

Major League Wrestling recently announced that Austin Aires is the next official competitor for this year’s Battle Riot match at their Battle Riot VIII event on January 29th in Kissimmee, Florida.
TNA Wrestling recently issued a “tune in” reminder to fans about their TNA Impact! premiere show on AMC on January 15th starting at a new time of 9PM EST instead of the usual 8PM start time their Impact! shows previously had on AXS TV.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley) are currently scheduled to work for Lucha Libre AAA at their AAA TV tapings on January 17th in Mexico City, Mexico.
The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported that despite AAA’s show on Saturday, January 17th being their premiere show on FOX One in Mexico, neither AAA nor WWE have done little to no promotion hyping up the show as of Monday. Meltzer reported that AAA’s upcoming debut show on FOX One is also currently only scheduled to air from 9-10PM local time meaning that the first hour won’t be broadcasted on the network.
WrestleCon recently announced that WWE Hall of Famers Mick Foley, Jerry “The King” Lawler, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, and Rob Van Dam, TNA Hall of Famers Angelina Love and Velvet Sky, and former WWE wrestlers Victoria and The Godwins will be making an appearance for the company at their WrestleCon Las Vegas convention on April 16-19, 2026 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Jersey Championship Wrestling recently announced that Komander and Mascarita Sagrada will be making an appearance for the company at their co-promoted Superpower Slam benefit event with Orange Crush and Game Changer Wrestling on February 1st in New York City, New York.
In a recent interview with the Undisputed’s Justin Barrasso, Matt Jackson gave his thoughts about Hiroshi Tanahashi’s retirement from his in-ring wrestling career at NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 20 event earlier this month. Jackson stated “The business just lost its best babyface. He was marvelous. One of the true greats to ever do it.”
WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair recently responded on Twitter over him being involved in an online controversy over negative reviews people were leaving on his Cameo videos being disappointed with the product they received after paying him to produce the videos. Flair received the most backlash from a video a woman had paid for him to give a message to her brother who was in celebration of his wedding. Instead Flair gave a video message insulting the groom asking why he would want to get married when there are so many women in the world and called him a “motherfu**er.” In response to the controversy, Flair apologized to those upset at the videos they received stating “I Wouldn’t Want Anyone To Have A Bad Experience As They Keep Pouring In.
