Drew McIntyre Comments on His Undisputed WWE Title Victory

As noted before, Friday’s WWE SmackDown show in Berlin, Germany featured Drew McIntyre defeating Cody Rhodes in a Three Stages of Hell match to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion.

Following the show, McIntyre reflected on Twitter about his Undisputed WWE Championship victory.

In a follow-up post, McIntyre reflected earlier today on Twitter stating “I prayed for this and it happened.”


Stephanie Vaquer Ankle Injury Status Update – Vaquer Reportedly Cleared for Action

As noted before, this past Monday’s WWE RAW show featured WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer annoucing she had suffered an ankle injury and was involved in storyline injury angle with Raquel Rodriguez right afterwards. Vaquer’s injury was later confirmed to be legitimate for the reason for the storyline angle.

Fightful Select reported that their sources confirmed Vaquer’s injury is legitmate and provided additional details.

It was reported that while the severity of Vaquer’s ankle injury is currently not known, she was recently medically cleared for physical contact.


Santos Escobar WWE Abscense Status Update

As noted before, Santos Escobar has been absent from WWE since this past July. During his abscense, Escobar’s contract with WWE had expired this past October and he had quickly had signed a new contract with the company.

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that Escobar’s current abscense in WWE was described as “something that fell through the cracks” type situation.

Those spoken to reportedly stated that WWE officials have held talks about getting Santos back on track for his return.

A potential timetable for Santos’ return is currently not known.
