Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa, & R-Truth Declares for Men’s Royal Rumble

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show at the Centre Bell in Montreal, Quebec Canada featured a video airing featuring Roman Reigns officially declaring himself for this year’s Men’s Royal Rumble match at Royal Rumble 2026.

In a follow-up segment, Solo Sikoa and The MFTs were seen walking backstage ahead of their WWE Tag Team Championship match against the Wyatt Sicks. During his promo directed at the Wyatt Sicks and their prized lantern that was in his possession, Sikoa officially declared for the Men’s Royal Rumble match.

In a follow-up segment, SmackDown GM Nick Aldis was seen in his office leading to R-Truth showing up and officially declaring himself for the Men’s Royal Rumble and told Aldis that he wanted to put his balls on the line. Truth then handed Aldis a pair of two large lottery balls.

Chelsea Green, Jordynne Grace, & More Declares for Women’s Royal Rumble

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show also featured Chelsea Green, Jordynne Grace, Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, Nia Jax, Lash Legend, Giulia, and Kiana James officially declaring themselves for this year’s Women’s Royal Rumble match at Royal Rumble 2026, which takes place on January 31st at the King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

During the show, Green, Alba Fyre, and Jordynne Grace were seen backstage. Green attempted to recruit Grace to her Green Regime and officially revealed herself as a competitor for this year’s Women’s Royal Rumble match. Grace reluctantly agreed to be part of Green’s group for tonight.

Following Jade Cargill’s victory over Green in a singles match, Grace grabbed a microphone and after some words, she officially declared herself for the Women’s Royal Rumble match.

In a follow-up segment, Bliss and Flair were backstage talking about their upcoming #1 Contender’s match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship and their performances in last year’s Women’s Royal Rumble match. Bliss and Flair revealed that they both will be competitors in this year’s Women’s Royal Rumble match.

In another follow-up segment, Jax and Legend were seen backstage for an interview. Jax and Legend boasted about themselves as a team and talked about how they will win tonight to become the #1 Contender to the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship and they will go to the Women’s Rumble next week and eliminate everyone as a team.

In another follow-up segment, Giulia and James were seen backstage for an interview. Giulia and James talked about their upcoming WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match and officially declared themselves for the Women’s Royal Rumble match.

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show also featured The MFTs (Tama Tonga & Solo Sikoa) defeating the Wyatt Sicks (Joe Gacy & Dexter Lumis) to become the new WWE Tag Team Champions.

This was the MFTs’ first WWE Tag Team Championship victory in their WWE careers.

AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura Announced for Jan. 24th WWE SNME Show

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show also featured one new match announced for the card of WWE’s next Saturday Night’s Main Event show on January 24th at the Centre Bell in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

This new match announced was a singles match of AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura.

This new match was setup following a backstage promo segment involving SmackDown GM Nick Aldis, Styles, and Nakamura.

As a result of their victory, Giulia & James will be facing off against the winner of Judgement Day (Liv Morgan & Roxanne Perez)/Rhea Ripley & IYO SKY for the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles at a future show.
