As noted before, Kenny Omega’s status for this March’s AEW Revolution 2026 event is believed to be in doubt due to his current commitments with Capcom for this year’s Capcom Cup tournament in Japan during that same week. This past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show featured Swerve Strickland attacking Omega after their match as a way to write off Omega for the time being.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that Omega is currently under contract to be at Capcom’s event at the Sumo Hall in Tokyo from March 11-15.
Omega reportedly is trying to make a deal with Capcom where he can leave on March 14th to travel back to the United States and be at AEW’s Revolution event.
Omega reportedly had told AEW officials that there is a possibility he can make the show for AEW but he didn’t want to be put in a position where he had to be on the show or where he would be teased or advertised and wasn’t able to make it.
