Private Party’s Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy’s have been absent from AEW since losing the AEW World Tag Team Championship to The Hurt Syndicate in January of 2025. WWE was believed to have been interested at one point in potentially signing Private Party to contracts once their AEW deals expired.
Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that his sources confirmed that both Quen and Kassidy remain under contract with AEW but the expiration dates of their deals do not line up exactly.
Sapp reported that when asked about their current status within AEW, those spoken to stated that “we could expect to see them in AEW before we would in WWE.”
In regards to the belief last year that Private Party’s contracts were set to expire soon, Sapp speculated that AEW might have extended their contracts or added injury time to their contracts since then. Sapp reported that everyone he spoken to had seemed to think that Private Party’s contracts were going to be up well by now.
In regards to Quen attending an AEW show backstage a couple months ago, Sapp reported that while Quen was backstage at the show, he has not heard much about if Quen has been backstage at other shows since then.
