Cody Rhodes Comments on His Babyface Role in WWE & Not Wanting To Leave It
A recent episode of the Live with Kelly & Mark show featured Cody Rhodes as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Rhodes’ thoughts about his current role in WWE and how he is having so much fun being a babyface that he never wants to give up.
“For a long time, there were a lot of anti-heroes. Just recently it felt like WWE hit this stride with so much youth in the audience that it felt like babyfaces came back to life. Jey Uso, for example, is somebody that the kids go crazy for. Sami Zayn is out there doing it. And for me to be able to be in that spot, I don’t want to leave it. It’s so much fun.”

CM Punk & Piece Chicago Raises Over $51,000 In Honor of Punk’s Late Dog Larry
Chicago-based pizza restaurant Piece Chicago announced earlier today on Instagram that their co-promoted pizza fundraiser with CM Punk and PAWS Chicago raised around $51,1000 for PAWS.
It was announced that this pizza fundraiser was held in honor of Punk’s late dog Larry and all funds generated will go directly towards PAWS.
This fundraiser was held from January 8th to February 7th and featured a special pizza called “The Larry” being sold to raise funds. Besides the pizza sales, the fundraiser also received donations from others.
“When we bring a pet into our lives, we sign a contract to have our heart broken at the end of their life. It’s happened to me, time and time again. It happened to @CMPunk, Chicago native and WWE Champion, in December when he lost his beloved dog, Larry.
Following his loss, CM Punk honored Larry’s memory by joining our Slice to Meet You campaign for @pawschicago to help save more pets in his honor while supporting the Midwest’s largest No Kill shelter. “The Larry” pizza, which Punk created, was available at Piece from January 8 through February 7. When customers bought this $35 pizza, $70 was donated to PAWS Chicago, thanks to a $10 donation from Piece and $60 from six matching donors, of which I am honored to be one.
Punk shared The Larry across his platform with passion, raising critical funds and further amplifying PAWS Chicago’s lifesaving work, which saves nearly 5,000 homeless dogs and cats every year.
Thanks to CM Punk’s commitment, Piece sold 730 of Larry’s pizza, resulting in an incredible $51,100 raised for PAWS.
Thank you, CM Punk. You’ve helped give so many deserving pets the chance to live and bring joy to the lives they touch. You are our champion.
Thanks to our amazing group of matching donors: Alison & Sean Fogarty, Laura Desmond, Leonard Goodman, Joe Mansueto, and Kristin K-Mac MacGregor.
And to you, our loyal customer, thank you for your support.
Bill”
Big E Comments on He Would Prefer WWE Hall of Fame Induction with New Day Over Solo Honor
107.7 The Bone held a recent interview with Big E. One of the topics discussed included Big E’s thoughts about how he would prefer to be inducted with New Day as a group for a potential WWE Hall of Fame induction instead of a solo induction for him.
“I feel like I’ve had some really great highs as a singles superstar, as far as being NXT Champion, the second-ever NXT Champion, also getting to be WWE Champion, two-time IC Champion. But really I feel like what people know me as and the time of my career that was really the most rewarding, was my time with The New Day. And I feel like we really got to do something special. I don’t want to diminish my singles career. I don’t know if I had enough time as a singles superstar to really be a stalwart as just a singles superstar.
But, yeah, my time in The New Day is one I truly cherish. And we just broke down so many barriers. We did so many things we hadn’t really seen before. Breaking a record that stood for 20 years with Demolition, having Booty-Os — a food product in wrestling — is kind of ridiculous. People still come up to me. I think we released Booty-Os a decade ago, and people still fondly remember me as the Booty-Os guy. So if I had to pick one, it would be as a member of The New Day because it really changed the trajectory of my career.”
Big E also gave his thoughts about if we could see him get revenge on Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods one day for turning heel and kicking him out of New Day.
“You know, it was something that was discussed at some point. But I’m very zen these days. I’m a big mindfulness, meditation guy. Right now I’m focused on my broadcasting role. That is my role.”
