I’m coming back to finish this.”

Anthony Ogogo Comments on His Lengthy In-Ring Abscense from AEW & ROH

Anthony Ogogo last wrestled in AEW in August of 2024 and in Ring of Honor in November of 2025.

ITR Wrestling held a recent interview with Ogogo. One of the topics discussed included Ogogo’s current lengthy in-ring abscense from both AEW and ROH.

“I guess I am biding my time for an opportunity. The AEW roster is stacked, it’s a stacked roster. We sign new talent all the time. Sometimes you got to sit out and wait and that’s what I have been doing. Perhaps longer than I would have liked. When I joined I thought I would be one of the biggest stars in the company by now. But, listen, in the industry of pro wrestling you are at the behest of others. You can be the best but it’s not always down to you. It’s not my company. I can do what I am doing. I can train like I am training week in week out with Billy Gunn, QT Marshall, some of the best wrestling minds. I am wrestling lots on the independents and QT Marshall has his own show 1FW. I am getting the most experience possible so when I get the nod I can take it with both hands.

It’s been a long, frustrating last couple of years buddy because I relocated my whole life from the UK to do this, I have trained and in great physical shape as you can see, so I am ready to show the world what I can do again.”

Darius Martin Opening New Wrestling School

A recent episode of the AEW Unrestricted podcast featured AEW and ROH talent Zayda Steel. One of the topics discussed included Steel revealing that fellow SkyFlight member Darius Martin is currently in the process of opening up a new wrestling school.

“Yeah, listen, I don’t wanna do anything with my life at all besides wrestle and maybe work behind the scenes in wrestling when it’s all said and done. Darius (Martin) is opening up a school. I would love to help out with that. I just love wrestling. Maybe tap into Hollywood down the line? But, I love this and like I said, I’m here in AEW. This is where the best wrestle. I’m surrounded by people who just genuinely, genuinely love professional wrestling.”

AEW Revolution 2026 Attendance & Early PPV Buys Estimates

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that AEW drew an attendance of 12,590 for their Revolution 2026 event on March 15th at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.

AEW reportedly drew a live gate of around $1.1 million for this year’s event. Meltzer reported that AEW could have drawn a larger gate had more tickets been put up for sale earlier since people were turned away on the morning of the show.

In regards to pay-per-view buys estimates, Meltzer reported that while an exact early estimate number is currently not known, it is expected to be the highest since this past July’s All In Texas event, which drew between 180,000 to 185,000 buys.

Meltzer reported that the currently known numbers from certain systems revealed that Revolution was up 27% compared to this past November’s Full Gear 2025 event and this past September’s All Out 2025. Meltzer also reported that the known domestic and overseas numbers were up significantly from any AEW event since All In Texas.

Meltzer also reported that despite the issues with HBO MAX’s broadcast of the event, Revolution 2026 still managed to set a record for most buys for an AEW PPV event on the service. These issues reportedly were mostly limited to Apple TV viewers.
