As noted before, AEW recently announced that the Zero Hour pre-show for this Sunday’s AEW Revolution 2026 event will air for “free” live on HBO MAX.
In a now deleted tweet, AEW was promoting this to be the case on social media for their upcoming Revolution event.
The Wrestling Observer’s Josh Nason reported that the terminology used by AEW was not quite accurate.
In an official statement to the Wrestling Observer, a Warner Bros Discovery spokesperson stated that while AEW’s show will be in front of the pay-per-view paywall, it will not be in front of the HBO MAX subscription paywall. Nason reported that this means that a HBO MAX subscription will still be needed in order to be able to view the Zero Hour pre-show on the service, similar to previous AEW pre-shows that also aired on the service.
Besides HBO MAX, the Zero Hour pre-show is also currently scheduled to air on Amazon Prime Video and AEW’s YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook accounts.
