Mads Krule Says He’s Fine After Alleged Fan Stabbing Incident at 3/28 Ruthless Pro Wrestling Event

This past Saturday’s OMEGA event for Ruthless Pro Wrestling in Berwyn, Illinois featured a Last Man Standing match between Mads Krule, also known as Mads Krule Krugger in MLW, and SHLAK for the RPW Rust Belt Death Match World Championship.

This match was notable for a post-match incident involving a fan allegedly attacked and tried to stab Krule resulting in this person quickly getting beaten up by several other fans and wrestlers in response. Video of this incident was posted by indies wrestler Lou Nixon, who had wrestled at the event.

Cultaholic held a recent interview with Nixon discussing the alleged fan stabbing incident and how this fan had caused some issues during the show.

“At the start of the show, I was speaking to Krule. Krule told me that the guy went up to the merch stand at the start of the show, started asking Krule how much all his [merchandise] was, and then went, ‘I’m not f*cking paying that,’ and then walked away.

This guy was front row during Krule’s entrance now. He’s like a big monster. He walks around, the guy stepped out the front row and stepped in front of Krule on his entrance and, like, squared up to him. Krule obviously didn’t break character and made him look silly, and then during the match I think, like, the guy got knocked out of his seat.

The video that you see happens after the show. Now, currently, the guy’s went up to Krule’s merch table at the end of the show and squared up to him and started going, ‘Let’s f*cking go then, let’s f*cking go,’ and then tackled him. In the tackle, that’s when he must have shanked him because Krule didn’t realise he got stabbed until after.

Indies wrestler Mickie Knuckles who was also at the event was interviewed and also claimed that Krule was stabbed by the fan.

“The cops were already there. They had gotten called because somebody, a fan I guess, got hit with a piece of flying debris earlier in the night. So the building wanted to take precautions and call for services. So the cops came to make sure they didn’t need medical attention. So the cops were already there. In the video, when somebody says, ‘Don’t kill him!’ that was the cop saying that. The cop even saw the knife, so the guy’s really lucky that he didn’t go after one of the cops with their guns or somebody else that had been packing. I mean, he stabbed Krule, the biggest, scariest guy in the room…and that guy just stabbed him!”

It was reported that one source spoken to who attended the event stated that they believe the stabbing portion of the story was made up.

“I was standing near the merch table where the incident ended up with Krule and the fan. I think what happened was that the fan got rambunctious, and I don’t know who started it necessarily, but I know that the fan was attacking Krule. I think the other wrestlers saw this, and they used it as a reason to attack this fan. I don’t believe that there was a knife in play. I never saw a knife, I never saw a stabbing, and I don’t believe that any of the wrestlers saw a knife. I really genuinely think that they wanted to help their friend.

In wrestling, it’s notoriously a thing that when a fan attacks a wrestler, it becomes essentially, at one point in time in wrestling, legalised brutality, right? I don’t think that’s the case anymore. I think after the incident happened and they let the guy walk away, I think they quickly realised that they needed a story to save face and to not look bad on the internet, and this is where the stabbing story comes from. I don’t think it actually occurred. No one tried to disarm this guy, and if they did, you don’t see that in the video, and the guy was just allowed to walk out of the building. Why hasn’t there been a police report? Why wasn’t this guy arrested? There are a lot of questions about it, for sure.”

Krule provided an update earlier today on Twitter stating that he is currently feeling fine in response to Game Changer Wrestling and indies talent EFFY asking him if he was okay.
