As noted before, NFL legend and seven-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady reportedly has been in recent talks with WWE for a potential appearance at this April’s WrestleMania 42 event in Las Vegas, Nevada. Brady was recently involved in an online feud with Logan Paul that included several WWE talents joining in over comments Brady made calling pro wrestling being “cute” and being “scripted.”
Brady and Paul participated in a Fanatics Flag Football Classic event this past weekend that ended with Team USA defeating Brady’s Founders FFC team and Paul’s Wildcats FFC team in a round robin tournament. In a post-tournament press conference, Brady brushed aside his feud with Paul and gave his thoughts about his real opinions on Paul and pro wrestling.
“I’ll say this: He [Logan Paul] impressed me out there. And I think that he’s, and obviously some of the coaches that were coaching him said how seriously he was taking it and how he just wanted to learn and be a sponge to go out there and do a great job. And, you know, to watch what he and his brother have done, I really — there’s a little tit-for-tat stuff — but I do have respect for people that are really driven to succeed.”
In regards to Brady making a potential appearance at WrestleMania 42, Dave Meltzer reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio that his sources stated that Brady and WWE are still in negotiations for a potential appearance for Brady at WrestleMania 42 but no deal has been reached at this point.
Meltzer reported that Brady and Paul’s flag football game was clearly meant to build to something involving Brady at WrestleMania. Meltzer also reported that Brady talking down to pro wrestling and WWE talents responding back was just meant to be a storyline for his potential appearance in WWE.
