Goldberg on His Retirement Speech Being Cut Off “Shows What Disrespect” WWE Has For Him
As noted before, the July 12th episode of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event show in Atlanta, Georgia featured WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg’s retirement speech following his retirement match against Gunther being cut off during the broadcast due to the show’s hard out time.
A recent fan signing event in Nashville, Tennessee featured Goldberg as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Goldberg’s thoughts about him still being upset over his retirement speech being cut off from his retirement show’s broadcast.
“Yeah, well, what do you think it did for me? Made me really happy too. It just shows what disrespect they have for me.”
In response to a fan’s comments about what ‘jackass’ made that call and if it was WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Goldberg responded stating:
“Probably. 100 percent (Triple H is a jackass).”

Giulia “Banged Up” After Tiffany Stratton Match at 3/27 WWE SmackDown Show
This past Friday’s WWE SmackDown show in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania featured WWE Women’s United States Champion Giulia defeating Tiffany Stratton in a non-title match. This match was notable for Stratton landing very hard on Giulia following an almost botched Swanton Dive spot.
In a now-deleted Instagram post, Giulia’s trainer Matthew Ennis stated that Giulia was in a lot of pain after her match against Stratton at this past Friday’s SmackDown show.
“Giulia came into her session today very banged up from her [match] last Friday on SmackDown,” he said. “Normally, this would be our full lower body day, but today was not a good day for that because she was in so much pain. Low back pain, knee pain, hip pain, shoulders, you name it.
So instead of sticking to a rigid plan, we adapted today on the fly, and the goal is just simply to have her walk out of the gym feeling better. Thankfully, through a full body, activation, mobility, stretching circuit, we were able to achieve that goal.
And now we’ll be more prepared to push harder tomorrow, and that’s a big thing for pro wrestlers — depending on how your body feels, you may need to adjust the workout for the day.”
Megan Morant Announces She Qualified For Olympic Trials
WWE personality Megan Morant announced on Twitter that she recently qualified for the Olympic trials.
“Holy crap! I qualified for the Olympic Trials 🇺🇸🏃♀️😭 .
I remember watching the Olympic Trials Marathon on NBC in 2020. A record number of women qualified to compete, and while watching, this crazy idea crossed my mind: what if you just tried? .
I was a has-been. My successful high school running career led to a DI college scholarship, but in college, things never really panned out. Deep down inside, I knew I still had untapped potential in running, but I often thought: who cares? What’s the point? .
I shifted my full attention towards building my career. I moved to 4 different states for work opportunities. I continued to casually run, signing up for marathon after marathon because it felt like the right thing to do. When it came to training and doing marathon specific workouts, again I thought: what’s the point. Who cares. .
That all changed upon watching the 2020 Olympic Trials. I saw a record number of women toe the line to chase a dream bigger than themselves. The field included working women, doctors, lawyers, mothers, professional runners and so many more. .
For the first time it really clicked in my brain that you don’t have to be just one thing. You can be a career woman, mother, and high level athlete all at the same time. Easy? No. Doable? If you want it to be: Why not? I was inspired. I got curious. I wanted to be there. I went to work. . “Over 6 years later, my dream is now a reality. With the greatest support system in the world by my side, I just qualified for the Olympic Trials (how is this even real?! 😭) .
I could write a novel on the journey it took to get here, but this post is already long enough and if you’re still reading, I love you! .
For now, I’m gonna go drink a beer, celebrate with my little family, and probably cry a whole lot more 😭 WE FREAKING DID IT!”
