As noted before, former WWE employee Janel Grant filed a lawsuit in January of 2024 against former WWE/TKO Executive Chairman Vince McMahon accusing McMahon of committing sex trafficking and sexual abuse towards her during her time in the company. Grant filed a new amended lawsuit this past February detailing new evidence and claims against McMahon, WWE, and others. Grant had filed a new memorandum this past Wednesday detailing new allegations against McMahon, former WWE Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis, WWE President Nick Khan, Brock Lesnar, and WWE itself. Grant had voluntarily dismissed Laurinaitis from her lawsuit in May of 2025 in return for Laurinaitis helping to provide evidence for Grant’s case against McMahon.
In an official statement to Post Wrestling, Laurinaitis’ lawyer Edward M. Brennan, Laurinaitis’ attorney responded to Grant’s recent memorandum filing and his client being named among the new allegations against him by Grant.
“My client has no need to comment on this salacious affidavit. Anyone can make allegations. Whether those allegations can withstand the harsh sunlight of cross-examination is another matter entirely.
I note that after two-plus years of litigation, Mr. Laurinaitis remains the only party exonerated by an independent investigation commissioned by the WWE Board of Directors to review these matters and the only person dismissed, with prejudice, from this lawsuit. Those facts speak louder than any allegations made to buttress a suspect claim.”
