Grab The Brass Ring Ladder Match Announced for GCW Joey Janela’s Spring Break X

Joey Janela recently announced one new match for the card of Game Changer Wrestling’s Joey Janela’s Spring Break X, which takes place on April 17th in Las Vegas, Nevada.

This new match announced was a Grab The Brass Ring Ladder match.

Will Ospreay Congratulates Callum Newman on His IWGP Heavyweight Title Victory & Says It Was “One Of The Best Moments Of My Life”

As noted before, Saturday’s NJPW Sakura Genesis 2026 event in Tokyo, Japan featured Callum Newman defeating Yota Tsuji to become the new IWGP Heavyweight Champion. Among those at ringside for Newman’s match was Will Ospreay, who made an in-ring return appearance for NJPW at the event.

Following the event, Will Ospreay reflected on his fellow United Empire member Newman’s title victory and how it was one of the best moments of his life to get to witness it happen in person.

Misc. Wrestling News & Notes

Saturday’s 10th Anniversary event for WrestlePro in Rahway, New Jersey featured current AEW World Champion MJF making a surprise appearance. Following the main event match, WrestlePro owner and AEW VP of Talent Relations and coach Pat Buck came out to the ring and thanked the crowd for supporting the company throughout the years. This led to MJF’s music playing to interrupt and came out to the ring. MJF praised Buck for being one of his trainers and for giving guys like him a chance. MJF then gave a low blow kick to Buck laying him out and stated that it makes him want to puke that Buck takes credit for his success. As MJF left the ring, Buck grabbed a microphone and issued a challenge to MJF for a match at WrestlePro’s event on May 31st in Rahway.

Saturday’s Maniac event for Game Changer Wrestling featured Jungle Jack Perry making a surprise appearance. During the show, KJ Orso attacked Marko Stunt leading to Perry coming out through the crowd to save his old Jurassic Express partner. Afterwards it was announced that Perry & Stunt will be facing off against Orso & Sam Stackhouse at this month’s Joey Janela’s Spring Break X event in Las Vegas.

WrestleCon recently announced that former WWE wrestler Ted DiBiase Jr., former WCW wrestler Buff Bagwell, Bustah & The Brain (Alec Price & Jordan Oliver), Jade Gentle (former Jazmyn Nyx in WWE), Brittany Blake, Leigh Laurel, Goldie Collins, and Kaia McKenna will be making an appearance for the company at their WrestleCon Las Vegas convention on April 16-19 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

TNA Wrestling reportedly drew an attendance of 1,341 for their March 27th Sacrifice 2026 event in Westwego, Louisiana, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling drew an attendance of around 1,000 for their March 27th ROH x MLP Global Wars Canada event and around 1,000 for their March 28th Uprising 2026 event in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

TheCubsFan reported that his sources stated that the reason why CMLL talent Mascara Dorada was absent from Maple Leaf Pro’s Global Wars Canada event on March 27th was due to travel-related issues. It was reported that CMLL talent Barbaro Cavernario being absent from both of Maple Leaf Pro’s events that weekend is believed to be due to a similar issue.

This past Friday’s CMLL Super Viernes show at the Arena Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico featured Máscara Dorada defeating Flip Gordon and Averno in a Phase 1 Three-way match. As a result of his victory, Dorada advances to the Finals of the 2026 CMLL Universal Championship tournament.

CMLL recently announced that they will be holding a CMLL x MLW event on May 1st at the Arena Mexico in Mexico City.

As noted before, Ricochet is currently scheduled to compete in a non-title singles match against current TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater at WrestleCon’s upcoming Mark Hitchcock Memorial Supershow 2026 event on April 16th in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that despite the political issues involving an AEW talent wrestling a TNA talent who has also worked on WWE NXT shows, his sources stated that both Ricochet and Slater really wanted this match and pushed for it to happen.

WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley recently announced on Instagram that he is has been doing voiceover work for the upcoming Deathmatch wrestling documentary for A24.
