WWE: Pat McAfee To Appear at 4/10 WWE SmackDown Show, Three New Dates Added to WWE’s Summer 2026 European Tour, Backstage Update on WWE Planning to Lower Ticket Prices for Shows Through This Summer

Pat McAfee To Appear at April 10th WWE SmackDown Show

As noted before, this past Friday’s WWE SmackDown show in St. Louis, Missouri featured Pat McAfee making a surprise return to WWE and turning heel on Cody Rhodes. McAfee’s involvement in the Randy Orton and Rhodes’ storyline feud for the Undisputed WWE Championship was later revealed to have been an edict that came from TKO CEO Ari Emanuel. McAfee’s involvement was also believed to have been done to boost interest in the show and also for “corporate synergy” between WWE and ESPN.

Wednesday’s The Pat McAfee Show featured host Pat McAfee announcing that he will be making an appearance at this week’s WWE SmackDown show on April 10th at the SAP Center in San Jose, California.

McAfee stated that he have “some things to say” on WWE’s upcoming show.

“Friday night, live from San Jose. I think I got some things to say. I think we will have a good time there on SmackDown.”

Backstage Update on WWE Planning to Lower Ticket Prices for Shows Through This Summer

As noted before, WWE is currently looking to lower ticket prices for their shows through the summer in response to the growing negative backlash from their fans and ticket sales for this year’s WrestleMania 42 event moving much slower than expected.

Bryan Alvarez reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Live that his sources stated that WWE’s plans to lower ticket prices for their shows this summer will not be an across-the-board decrease and instead will be done on a case-by-case basis.

Alvarez reported that immediatly after CM Punk’s promo segment calling out TKO CEO Ari Emanuel asking for ticket prices to be lowered, WWE’s ticket prices for the lower bowl section for WrestleMania 42 dropped below $2,000 for the first time.

Alvarez also reported that those spoken to stated that not every show will have a price drop for tickets throughout the summer and instead will mostly be done for shows held in weaker markets and where ticket sales are moving slower than what WWE expects for sales and sell outs. For hot market locations, WWE reportedly is currently not expected to lower the prices for tickets due to those shows would easily be expected to sell out at the existing prices.
