MJF vs. Darby Allin in Hair vs. AEW World Title Match Set for AEW Double or Nothing 2026
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured the fourth of four new matches announced for the card of Double or Nothing 2026, which takes place on May 24th at the Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York.
This new match announced was a AEW World Championship Hair vs. Title match of MJF (hair) vs. Darby Allin (AEW World).
This new match was initially setup over recent weeks shows over MJF demanding a rematch for the title and Allin only willing to grant it if MJF put his hair on the line. Following Allin’s victory over Konosuke Takeshita to retain his title, Allin called out MJF for their match contract signing if he really wanted a shot at his title. This led to MJF coming out and after some back-and-forth banter, MJF signed the contract after Allin did earlier to make the match official. This then led to MJF attacking Allin and a brawl breaking out that was ended after TNT Champion Kevin Knight rushed out to the ring to prevent MJF from hitting a top rope Tombstone to Allin.
