As noted before, Big Cass made his official return to WWE this past August. Cass had been originally rumored to be reuniting with Enzo Amore, also known as Real1 and nZo in the indies, as part of WWE’s interest in bringing both back as a tag team at the time before only being brought back as a solo talent. WWE’s initial plans for Amore and Cass was to keep them separate instead of bringing them back as a team.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that there are people backstage in WWE who believe that Amore had signed a new deal with the company over the last week.
Johnson reported that Amore is currently expected to be heading to WWE’s NXT brand for his return to the company.
Amore previously worked in WWE from August of 2012 to January of 2018 that ended with his firing over sexual assault allegations against him and him keeping it a secret from the company at the time. No charges were ever filed against Emore following the investigation into his allegations being dropped over lack of evidence.
