As noted before, Kairi Sane was released from WWE last week as part of a larger batch of talent releases and departures. Sane recently denied rumors about her wanting to move back to Japan being one potential factor for her release from WWE.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources clarified WWE’s decision to release Sane. Meltzer reported that the belief from those within WWE was that Sane wanted to move back to Japan at some point. Those spoken to reportedly stated that this factored into WWE officials decision to release her as part of the recent batch of roster cuts.
Meltzer reported that talent are rarely told the actual reason why they are let go beyond budgeting purposes in WWE.
