Friday’s WWE SmackDown show in Tulsa, Oklahoma featured the official announcement of the first hour of Backlash 2026 will be airing live on ESPN2.

Backlash 2026 takes place on May 9th at the Benchmark International Arena in Tampa, Florida.
This will be the second WWE PLE to have the first hour air on an ESPN network, following this past April’s WrestleMania 42 Night 1 event airing on ESPN2 and Night 2 event airing on ESPN.
