As noted before, this past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite and Collision three-hour show in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania featured Samoa Joe announcing that he will be stepping away from AEW for a few months due to Hollywood had called him and he would be leaving HOOK in charge of The Opps while he is away again.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that the likely reason for Joe’s latest hiatus from AEW is for him to continue his work for Peacock’s Twisted Metal series.
Johnson reported that filming for the upcoming new third season is scheduled to begin shortly in Canada.
The official website for the city of Toronto currently lists production for this upcoming third season taking place in their city from June 15th through August 26th.
Joe portrays the physical role of Sweet Tooth in the series.
