Mexico City Attorney General’s Office Issues Official Statement on Cuatrero’s Conviction for Domestic Violence & Attempted Femicide

As noted before, Lucha Libre AAA talent Cuatrero, real name Rogelio Reyes, was sentenced earlier this week to over 12 years in prison after being found guilty of the charges of domestic violence and attempted femicide towards former CMLL and current WWE talent Stephanie Vaquer in March of 2023.

The Mexico City Attorney General’s Office issued an official statement on Wednesday about Cuatrero’s conviction of the charges against him.

“The Mexico City Attorney General’s Office (Fiscalía CDMX) secured a conviction against Rogelio “N” (Cuatrero) after establishing his guilty verdict in the crimes of attempted femicide and equivalent domestic violence, committed against his former partner, in connection with events that occurred on March 2, 2023.

“According to the investigation, Rogelio “N” physically assaulted the victim at a residence in the Colonia Doctores on the Cuauhtémoc borough, causing her various injuries. After the assault, he fled the scene.

“In response to these events, the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office (Fiscalía CDMX) launched an investigation and obtained an arrest warrant against Rogelio “N,” which was executed on March 11, 2023, by agents of the Investigative Police (PDI), in coordination with personnel from the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Aguascalientes (FGEA). Subsequently, he was indicted and placed under pretrial detention as a precautionary measure.

“On March 7, 2025, a court modified that precautionary measure and allowed him to continue the criminal proceedings while free under supervision, with the obligation to report weekly, not to approach the victim, and not to practice his profession as a wrestler.

“Once the corresponding procedural stages were completed and following the oral trial, the judicial authority handed down a guilty verdict against Rogelio “N” and imposed a sentence of 12 years and 8 months, in addition to the payment of full compensation for the damages. It also determined that the convicted individual will serve his sentence while remaining free and may continue to practice his profession, under judicial supervision, and must therefore report every three weeks regarding his appearances, venues, and match cards. As part of the protective measures for the victim, the court ruled that he may not participate in events where she is present.

“With this ruling, the Mexico City Prosecutor’s Office reaffirms its commitment to combating violence against women through robust investigations with a gender perspective, to ensure victims have access to justice, full reparation for the harm suffered, and protective measures that safeguard their integrity and safety.”

Sareee Taking Month Off From Wrestling for Neck Issue Treatment

Sareee announced on Wednesday on Twitter that she will be taking a one month break from wrestling due to her undergoing treatment for a neck issue.

“As announced, I will be taking approximately one month off for neck maintenance.

Having to miss matches that were already scheduled, I am truly sorry for the inconvenience and worry this causes to all the fans and organizations involved.

Honestly, it was a decision that took a lot of courage.

But I was more afraid of not being able to step into the ring anymore. I made this decision so that I can continue fighting as a professional wrestler from here on out!

Please give me just a little time!!”

In an interesting note, Sareee is currently scheduled to compete in AEW’s upcoming 2026 Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament, which starts at their Double or Nothing 2026 event on May 24th.

In a recent interview with The Bryan And Vinny Show podcast, Juggalo Championship Wrestling co-owner Violent J gave his thoughts about how JCW is looking to expand the reach of its promotion from appealing to Juggalos to appealing to a wider wrestling audience. Violent J stated “I feel like our whole company has been hungry for a new goal, a new pursuit. Because in music, we just kept accomplishing the same goal. We set a goal in the beginning and we reached it, and we reached it again and we reached it again as the years kept going by. We decided to get serious about JCW and actually try to compete with these other companies and try to bring entertainment and be taken seriously, even if the show is a lot of times tongue-in-cheek, you know what I mean? We wanted to set out and really try to become something wrestling fans would enjoy and not just the fans of our music.” Violent J also gave his thoughts about wanting JCW shows to appeal to all wrestling fans and feature a variety of wrestling styles. Violent J stated “I want it to appeal to all wrestling fans. I want a little bit of everything, of all types of wrestling. I want a little bit of everything in there so that, no matter who you are, what you’re into, you’re gonna see something you like, you know what I mean? And I don’t want it to just appeal to Juggalos. JCW used to be really wild, with really offensive commentary, and we weren’t trying, though. It was just for Juggalos. It was for ICP’s fan base.” (Transcript h/t: F4WOnline.com)
