Backstage Update on Brock Lesnar’s WWE Status After Move to WWE Alumni Section
As noted before, this past April’s WWE WrestleMania 42 Night 2 event in Las Vegas, Nevada featured Brock Lesnar teasing his in-ring wrestling career retirement after he took off his gloves and boots and left it the ring following his loss to Oba Femi. Lesnar’s profile was recently moved to WWE’s Alumni section on their official website.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that Lesnar is still listed as an active performer internally in WWE.
Johnson reported those spoken to stated that Lesnar is considered to be a “free agent” due to him not being currently assigned to a brand. It was not stated why Lesnar is not shown on the free agent section of WWE’s roster page on their website.
Cody Rhodes Reveals Nintendo Sent “Very Kind” Cease & Desist From Nintendo Over His Triforce Boots
A recent episode of the What Do You Wanna Talk About? with Cody Rhodes podcast featured host Cody Rhodes giving his thoughts about the meaning behind the Triforce logo from the Legend of Zelda series he displayed on his wrestling boots in the past and the reason why he had to stop putting the logo on his boots.
“I thought the principles of the Triforce are power, courage, and wisdom. Zelda is the wise one, Link is the one who has the courage, and power is Ganon. They make the three parts of the Triforce, that’s the whole deal. I just liked the idea of thinking and leaning towards your own wisdom and applying it, being ambitious and be powerful in a world that is competitive or sports entertainment, and having the courage to do it. I thought it was applicable. I also got a cease and desist from Nintendo. It was very kind. They weren’t coming after anybody. I’m not the first guy to have the Triforce.”

Royce Keys Comments on Winning a Championship Being His One Goal For His WWE Career Before End of 2026
SportsBoom held a recent interview with Royce Keys. One of the topics discussed included Keys’ thoughts about his current main goal for his WWE career in 2026.
“Have a championship belt around my waist. It’s gonna happen.”
Keys also gave his thoughts about the one thing he wants to do for his WWE career.
“Talking to the audience, you can always get better at promos. You can always figure out a different way or how to get better connecting with the audience. One person that comes to mind is Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts. He reminds me of my grandfather, because my grandfather was stern and he knew he was serious, and he didn’t have to yell. You look back at old Jake Roberts’ promos, he never yelled. But you knew he was serious.”
Keys also gave his thoughts about who in WWE he would like to get in the ring with.
“Anybody and everybody, anybody that gets in the ring can get it.
I take what I want, and that’s something I lived by my whole life. I would love to get in the ring with Gunther, Trick Williams, Jacob Fatu, Oba Femi. Anybody, man, I’m down. I don’t run from anybody. It can be anybody.”
Keys also gave his thoughts about a potential match with Fatu in the future.
“Nobody gonna get in between us. If you’re in a bar and you see two big dudes go at it, what are you going to do? Hard hitting, going at it. Nonstop action. Two dudes that refuse to lay down for anybody. Somebody’s not going to get up.”
