Creative Idea Pitched for Santino Marella for WWE Clash In Italy
As noted before, TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella reflected earlier this month on Twitter about how a potential appearance at WWE’s Clash in Italy event this weekend would be a “full circle” type moment for him.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that there was an idea pitched within WWE creative recently involving Marella making an appearance at their Clash in Italy event.
No other details were given regarding this creative idea pitched for Marella for the event.
Gunther Reportedly Bonded Ludwig Kaiser From Jail After Battery Incident in Florida
As noted before, WWE and AAA talent Ludwig Kaiser, also known as El Grande Americano and real name Marcel Barthel, was arrested on charges of battery last week following an altercation with a man in Orange County, Florida. This incident was caused after Kaiser and a female were acting “uncontrollably intimate” in an elevator and Kaiser attacked the man after being allegedly told to “please have some manners.” Kaiser’s motion to be allowed to continue to travel for WWE both within the United States and internationally was recently approved. Rumors of Kaiser attacking the man after he had made ICE comments directed at his significant other was recently believed to have been a planted story within WWE.
Recent court records revealed that Barthel’s long-time friend and fellow WWE talent Gunther, real name Walter Hahn, was the person who had bailed him out of jail after paying the $1,000 bond.
Barthel is still currently scheduled to compete in a Mask vs. Mask match as El Grande Americano against Original El Grande Americano at AAA’s Noche de Los Grandes 2026 event on May 30th in Monterrey, Mexico.
Seth Rollins Comments on Crutch Drop Moment at WWE SummerSlam 2025 Was Bobby Roode’s Idea
ESPN held a recent interview with Seth Rollins. One of the topics discussed included Rollins’ thoughts about his surprise return at WWE’s SummerSlam 2025 event and his Money in the Bank cash-in moment on CM Punk to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Rollins also revealed that it was WWE producer Bobby Roode’s idea for him to drop his crutches for the reveal of him being healed for his cash-in moment.
“None of this was rehearsed. Talked about it, briefly. I can’t take all the credit for the crutch tossing. I’ll take all the credit when it’s my idea. The idea for the crutch drop was actually a Bobby Roode idea, who’s one of the incredible performers in our industry — or was — and now is a great producer backstage.”
