Tommaso Ciampa vs. Chris Jericho Set for AEW Dynamite Beach Break 2026 Show
Saturday’s taped AEW Collision show featured the first match announced for this year’s AEW Dynamite Beach Break show on July 8th at The BayCare Sound At Coachman Park in Clearwater, Florida.
This new match announced was a singles match of Tommaso Ciampa vs. Chris Jericho.
This new match was initially setup over recent weeks shows over the bad blood issues between Ciampa and Jericho. During tonight’s show, Ciampa and Jericho had a face-to-face promo segment in the ring involving Ciampa challenging Jericho to a match at Dynamite Beach Break 2026 and Jericho accepting.

Matt Sydal Makes Surprise Return
Saturday’s taped AEW Collision show also featured Matt Sydal making his surprise return to AEW.
During a backstage promo segment involving SkyFlight’s Christopher Daniels, Scorpio Sky, & Top Flight (Darius & Dante Martin), Daniels talked about Dante Martin’s match against Mistico on the show and re-intoduced one of his friends and tag team partners Sydal. This led to Sydal showing up and Daniels told Sydal that whatever decision he needed to make about what he wanted to do in AEW, SkyFlight had his back. Sydal responded talking about his lengthy time away being the toughest recovery of his life but with SkyFlight having his back, he was going to bigger heights than ever before.

This was Sydal’s first appearance in AEW since May of 2024 due to foot surgery and recovery.

Saturday’s taped AEW Collision show also featured two new matched announced for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2026.
The first new match announced was a Three-way tag team match of El Sky Team (Mistico & Mascara Dorada) vs. The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) vs. Unbound Co. (Shingo Takagi & Titan).
